En medio de flashes y cámaras, Iván Mordisco, el jefe de las disidencias autodenominadas Estado Mayor Central de las FARC-EP, llegó al Yarí para confirmar frente a 5000 campesinos su voluntad de paz con el gobierno. Mordisco fue el único comandante de un frente de las FARC-EP que no firmó la paz con el Gobierno de Juan Manuel Santos. Se declaró en disidencia desde el 2016 y se quedó en la guerra con 400 hombres en armas, que hoy son alrededor de 3000. El avance del Estado Mayor Central de las FARC-EP ha servido para que la derecha en Colombia sostenga que el Acuerdo de Paz con las extintas FARC fue un engaño al país. Esto mientras las disidencias de Mordisco desplazan y asesinan ex combatientes desarmados de las FARC.
