La pérdida de los terceros espacios

El sociólogo Ray Oldenburg definió los terceros espacios como todos aquellos espacios comunitarios que existen fuera del hogar y fuera del trabajo/escuela: bibliotecas, parques, cafeterías, y, al menos en latinoamérica, también lugares como la cancha del barrio, la feria y la calle. Las redes sociales dicen que estos espacios se están perdiendo. ¿Es esto así? ¿Importa?
