La Sirenetta

La Bagnante è un monumento dedicato alla potenza creatrice della bellezza femminile: le si può far visita passeggiando lungo il lungomare Cordella, a Vasto Marina. Fusa nel bronzo presso la Fonderia Artistica Fracaro Arte di Vicenza, è stata realizzata nel 1979, dallo scultore ortonese Aldo D’Adamo. Pesa mezza tonnellata ed è alta tre metri e sessanta: un nereide colossale che lascivamente tiene tra le dita i fili del suo ridottissimo bikini, come se fossero burattini. Sorride ambiguamente celando tra le labbra socchiuse la risposta alla domanda che tutti si pongono. Si sta vestendo o si sta scoprendo?
