Labor Day Weekend STAYcation with Concern Hotline Fish Fry & SABF BBQ & Brews

We met up with Rusty Holland, Executive Director of Concern Hotline and Brad Veach, Executive Director of Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival at Brad's office to learn the details about their upcoming event collaboration happening Labor Day weekend. The pair explained how and why this partnership was formed and discussed all the benefits of teaming up going into their second year working together. The weekend kicks off at the Frederick County Fairgrounds on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 4pm with the 23rd Annual Concern Hotline Friday Fish Fry Celebration. The fried fish dinner includes all the fixins: red beans & rice, cole slaw, cornbread, cookies, AND a new surprise for 2022! Junkfood returns to rock the Lykens Fish Fry Stage along with DJ Skyhigh and other area agencies spreading their message of hope to our communities til 9 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, enjoy local BBQ, craft beer, hard cider, live music, bourbon tasting, a Cornhole Tournament and other fun tailgate games at the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® HoneyCar BBQ & Brews.  The event takes place from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022 and Noon to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 4, 2022.  Enjoy a wide selection of BBQ from on-site vendors who will be serving up pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken and lots more with all the fixins'.  Other food options will be available on-site.
