Immer mehr Menschen haben einen Job, bei dem sie einen Service für Kund:innen leisten müssen. Ob Verkäufer:in, Kosmetiker:in, Kellner:in oder Flugbegleiter:in – ihre Arbeit ist nicht nur körperlich anstrengend. Im ständigen Kontakt mit Kund:innen immer freundlich zu bleiben – das ist auch emotional harte Arbeit. Die Soziologin Arlie Hochschild hat genau dafür den Begriff “Emotionsarbeit” geprägt. Was dieser genau bedeutet, was für Auswirkungen und Folgen Emotionsarbeit hat und wie Personen in Service-Jobs damit umgehen, klären wir in dieser Folge.
