from Get Fast Podcast - Triathlon, Ironman & Cycling Coaching Advice · host TriVelo Coaching

A podcast to help you Train Smarter and Race Faster. Hosted by expert Triathlon coach, Australian Ironman Champion and 15 x Aus Age group Champion Gerard Donnelly, and his son, multiple Triathlon + Cycling Aus Age Group Champion Jordy Donnelly. Lachlan Morton has made a career out of pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a pro cyclist. With a love of adventure and exploring the world by bike, he has been willing to break the traditional rules of cycling and ride his bike on his own terms. Touted as one of cyclings most interesting athletes, this conversation was always going to be awe inspiring and yet he still managed to surprise us with some of the details behind his epic feats on the bike. He was one of Australia's most "promising" young athletes, yet after just 2 years on the World Tour Circuit he left his team to find more meaning on the bike. What followed has been nothing short of an epic career in cycling, but in very non traditional ways. He has many impressive feats to his name, such as winning the tour of Utah in 2016, holding the world record for the Everest challenge, riding the Tour de France solo and self-sufficiently and beating the peleton, and raising significant funds for multiple charitable causes. Morton's mindset, personality, and achievements are inspiring to any athlete around the world. This conversation dives into his entire career and offers insights into the mindset and personality that makes him tick.
