LaDonna Smith is an educator, entrepreneur, author and the founder and publisher of Writer's Life Magazine =  a publication that highlights independent authors, songwriters, screenwriters and other content creators. It also provides tools and resources for individuals looking to self-publish. A Brooklyn, NY Native and current resident of Albany, NY, LaDonna has spent much of her life working to empower urban communities through financial literacy and reading. Her book "The Money Tree" won an award from the Institute for Financial Literacy in 2014, and she has been recognized for her various workbooks and board games that promote money management and saving. Her goal is to assist in eliminating the achievement gap and inspiring minority children to strive to be the best they can be.
