Have you found your community? Some obstacles might come our way when we think about dedicating a little of our time to doing what we love. A never-ending workload, the transformation of social interaction into likes and shares, and financial constraints are probably at the top of our list of excuses. We need to find labels not to define us, but rather to help us connect with people who share the same passions, hobbies, and life aspirations. When you are an immigrant, the desire to create your own community may become even stronger. Joining a community means understanding who we are first. And if you’re not sure, perhaps you don’t need to go through an identity crisis, but rather an identity awakening—one that helps you understand that not having a community yet is just as normal as creating and identifying with many communities at once.
