Derrick Todd Lewis was born November 7. Both of his parents were in the entertainment industry. His mother Valerie Lewis was the lead singer for Rhythm and Blues group The Pretenders in the late 1960s and his father, the late Billy Lewis was a member of the legendary Drifters off and on from 1975 until the late 1980s. Derrick grew up in Newark, New Jersey and has 6 siblings.Throughout the years, Derrick always liked to sing and write songs.
