LaJune: Love, loss and personal growth

from Adam · host Adam Webber

Today LaJune called in to share her story about what she learned from going on a retreat in Indonesia where she was able to examine her life in a deep and impactful way. LaJune shared that she discovered that she always kept a safe distance from her romantic partners because she didn’t want to get hurt. What is amazing about hearing LaJune tell her story was that on the retreat that she ended up on she made the connection that when her father that she loved so much passed away when she was 6 years old would end up effecting how she would protect her heart from ever getting hurt like that again. Now LaJune is learning about self care and self love and making sure that she heals herself so that she will be fully ready and know what she wants in her next relationship and she will be able to open up in that relationship in a more vulnerable and committed way. Sometimes the only way forward is to go back and honor and care for the parts of us that needed some attention when we were young and never got the attention that we needed. LaJune is a health and wellness coach working with women in areas of obesity, chronic illnesses, mindset, nutrition, physical health, and injury recovery.
