For midday success, switch to soft plastics like Senkos or creature baits in the 8-15 foot range. White swim jigs slow-rolled along weedlines have been producing reaction strikes consistently. If you're targeting those bigger females, lipless crankbaits in shad or chrome patterns are your ticket when fish push to deeper edges. Crappie fishing continues to crush it! They're still hanging around brush piles and docks in 6-10 feet of water. Small jigs in chartreuse or white have been the hot ticket, but live minnows are always reliable for slabs. As for hot spots, the north end around Goose Pond is firing for bass, while the mid-lake milfoil stretches near Seibold and Waterfront are giving up quality fish.
