Lamentations 3

Lamentations 3 has been on my mind, including, but not limited to, the fact that Yahweh's mercies are new every morning.  The fact that the name of Yahweh is a strong tower that the righteous run into and are safe sits within a context that, at some points, is remarkably specific and bleak otherwise. For instance, consider the inclusion of a reference to arrows being shot into kidneys, or the destruction and fate of the daughters of my people and city.
