Lance Farlow Musician

from Luxe Life Discovered · host Rick Steiner

People often ask me what kind of music I write and sing, and it’s always a tough one to answer. Listeners and industries love their labels, but music—just like people—doesn’t fit into neat little boxes.I’m a son of the South, and my music reflects the experience of growing up with longleaf pines overhead and red clay beneath my feet. Like many, I found my passion for music in church, starting out by beating ferociously on the drums. As a teenager, I picked up my first guitar in earnest, with the guidance of my grandfather—who would later be inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame.Over the years, life happened, and music took a back seat. I became a Marine, served downrange, worked as a paramedic, became a teacher, and built a family. There were moments I thought those experiences had pulled me away from music for good. Turns out, they were just fueling a deep well of untapped lyrics and melodies, quietly waiting beneath the surface. And now, here I am—traveling, sharing that music, and on the cusp of releasing my first album, set to drop in the winter of ’24–’25. It’s a collection shaped by the South and my take on the world. The meaning behind the music? That’s for you to discover. It’s my art, but it’s yours to consume, interpret, connect with, and weave into your own stories.I can’t wait to see y’all out on the road, to share these songs—and hear your stories too.
