Land Animals: The Sixth Day Begins (Genesis 1:24-25)

The sixth day dawns. The seas teem with life. The skies echo with wings. And now, God speaks to the earth: “Bring forth living creatures—cattle, creeping things, beasts of the field.” The land explodes with animal life, and for the third time in creation, the earth becomes God’s partner, producing living souls, conscious life that walks, runs, climbs, burrows, hunts, grazes.
