“LANDMARK PRO-GUN LEGAL ACTION”: We launch the first legal action over firearms policy discussions

WE’VE JUST LAUNCHED the first ever legal action to expose what Australia's firearm registries have been secretly planning behind closed doors at the National Firearms and Weapons Policy Working Group. We filed our case with NCAT after the NSW Information and Privacy Commissioner found that NSW Police had no legitimate grounds to refuse us access to these documents under GIPA laws. Despite the IPC's damning report recommending they release the information, NSW Police gave us—and every licensed firearm owner in Australia—the middle finger. Now we're taking them to tribunal. Our first hearing is scheduled for May 7th at 12:30pm, and we're expecting a tough fight.
