Landscape Artist of the Year Finalist, Algae on west side, Class of 69, Lionesses games

Success in the art world for Gibraltarian Monica Popham who has gone through to the finals of the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year! She spoke to us via telephone from Guildford in the UK to tell us about the competition so far.If you've been walking the coastline on the west side of Gibraltar in recent days you might have thought: que peste! Fifteen old school friends have reunited to put together an art exhibition. The "Class of '69" display is open at the Fine Arts Gallery and was the brain child of Martin Gonzalez, together with Ernest Lima.And, the Lionesses held their last training session before taking on Austria in a friendly match tomorrow night. The squad arrived in la Costa del Sol earlier this week and will also play Italy on Tuesday. Both games will be played in Algeciras Estadio Nuevo Mirador.
