Language and Power

The power of language does not only mean language in the service of power: language can also threat power. The relation of power and language is ambivalent. In this episode of Radio UPF, we discussed the role of language in the present and past creation of social, cultural, and national identities. From scientific languages to indigenous languages, this show focused on language as a tool of inclusion and exclusion as well as propaganda.
