Gary calls it the Emotional Love Bank. He references, Dr. Dorothy Tennor, who states the average life span of a romantic obsession is two years. The “in-love” experience doesn’t focus on internal growth or the growth of others. It gives us the sense that we have arrived. Real love takes effort, “in-love” requires no effort. The fifth love language referenced in the book is PHYSICAL TOUCH.
