Together they are the authors of Psychoanalysis Under Occupation, which collects together the perspectives and insights of Palestinian psychiatrists, therapists and other mental health professionals in a document of the psychologically extractive process of settler colonialism. Dr. Lara Sheehi is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the George Washington University and founding director of Psychoanalysis and the Arab World Lab. Stephen Sheehi is the Sultan Qaboos Professor of Middle East Studies at William & Mary and the Director of the Decolonizing Humanities Project.
