Larry Hardy - In The Red Records

from Conversations With Dwyer

In the Red Records was founded by Larry Hardy Thirty years ago. He's been the sole owner and operator the entire time putting out records by such notable acts as Jon Spencer, Ty Segall, Kid Congo, Alice Bag, Jay Reatard, King Khan and one of my all-time personal favorites The Strange Boy. For the record the list of artists Larry has put out is too long for these show notes. Larry joins me in a conversation about his early days as a Punk fan seeing such bands as The Germs, to getting the itch to start a label and releasing his first single with The Gories to how he grew the In The Red to be the well respected Punk label that it is today. Larry also shares a great story about a week long Party King Khan threw in his LA home while he was away on vacation.
