El posicionamiento de la marca es una de las decisiones más estratégicas que podemos tomar en la escuela. Ya que la marca debe ser el reflejo de nuestra realidad, cuando decidimos ser una escuela innovadora, inclusiva, excelente, participativa… estamos determinando también que queremos ser reconocidos como tales. Cada escuela tiene un número limitadísimo de etiquetas, o sea de características por las que es percibida: “Esta escuela es así” (donde se dice “así”, poned el adjetivo que queráis). Muy a menudo –excepto entre los públicos internos– no habrá más que un rasgo reconocido, dos como mucho. Sucede además que estas etiquetas no se corresponden necesariamente con las que desaríamos. Por eso surge el branding. Lo podríamos resumir justamente en el esfuerzo por canalizar las etiquetas.
