LA's Ukrainian Center talks about war with Russia

from ARN Stories · host Annenberg Radio Stories

Today marks four years since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine. At the time L.A.'s Ukrainian American community pulled together to donate supplies to the Ukrainian people, and to welcome and support those who fled to the United States.Four years later the war continues, with millions of estimated casualties and no end in sight. The Trump administration promised to end the war, but so far there has been little progress made in negotiations with Russia. But the support and solidarity coming from L.A.'s Ukrainian community continues. We sat down with Laryssa Reifel, a board member for the Los Angeles Ukrainian Culture Center. She talked about ongoing relief efforts for Ukrainians, and the community's hopes for the future.
