Laser Aimed at Police Chopper | Las Vegas News

A Vegas man just admitted to aiming a laser at a police chopper, risking up to five years in prison—same as a similar case that landed someone nine months. This isn’t harmless fun: lasers can cause temporary blindness, disorientation, or even permanent damage, putting pilots and ground crews in grave danger. In 2025 alone, over 10,000 laser incidents were reported. Authorities are treating this seriously, hunting down offenders and urging the public to report sightings via FBI tip lines—because one wrong beam could cost lives.
