LaserDiscotheque Episode 009
from LaserDiscotheque
Three LaserDudes talkin' LaserDiscs. Join Moyke Baud, Sam Hatch, and "Just" Shawn as they tell you what's new in the world of old media! This episode features a rundown of what the boys have been spinning, and also a LaserDisc spotlight on Frank Marshall's critically lambasted 1995 big screen adaptation of the Michael Crichton novel Congo, starring Ernie Hudson, Laura Linney and Tim Curry. Then the gang reveals their Top 5 picks for overrated trophy discs, and delight in tearing down some sacred cows alongside special guest Peter Biancardi – a fellow LDF alum, collector extraordinaire and all-around guru of high-end LD equipment and accessories. Plus, they dig into some "ripped from the headlines" hot topics from the LaserDisc Forever facebook page, and once again tear open the listener mailbag to answer all of your burning questions! And tell us… WHO IS KAFKA?
