What up, Mike? What up, Mike? Oof. Mighty Mike Lisa.

I thought it was. Don't need you. Let me show you some of this. We are here.

Well, this is 11. You know how I was going to do the intro right now. I mean, I just felt that. Welcome everyone to the Black Culture Kicks Podcast.

This is my man, SPJ. You. And my Sis Chrissy. Hey.

And I am too. I'm going to the Dead Man. And we are just a few people. Talking about pop culture once again in 2024 from a Black perspective.

Thanks. Facts indeed. And since this is the first time we have seen or talked to any of you, officially from a show capacity this year, we just want to first extend you with a Happy New Year. Right?

That's polite. That makes sense. We are in the six day. Happy resurrection day.

Happy resurrection day. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I'm going to touch these colors.

These colors don't run. They don't run. They don't run, baby. But yeah, as we told y'all when we left, this show will have no stories.

And yes, we get it. There's a bunch of shit. What's up, that took place while we were gone, especially fairly recently. And there's a lot of motherfuckers eaten off of that shit too.

Trust me. They're all online, they're talking about it, and that's cool, you know, but our show is our show. And who knows, I don't think this is gonna go anywhere. Yeah, yeah.

A lot of stuff. Yeah. It's a little weird in on it a little bit later, but today is because we have not been here so long. There is a ton of ketchup that needs to go in this burger.

So. Thank you so much. It's a ton of hans. You need to go in this burger right here.

I know. Went out of the country, which was dope. Also, all three of us went out of the country, which was, I'm sure, an amazing experience. I'm hoping it was an amazing experience when I'm, I know for me, it definitely was.

And we're gonna find out. We're gonna find out. Now, my shit is exactly forever. My shit is long.

I'm sure, as a magician is long, but I had some visual aids that I'm not quite yet ready to not put right together just yet. So I'm gonna let SVJ. You sure? Yes.

Bitty! What up, Bitty? All right, I'm good. Okay.

Sure. I'm gonna get it. That was, that was, that's dude said. This is gonna be a lot because.

Had a big segment's work of notes before we left with the cruise. That's crazy bro. So. Yeah.

First, I'm gonna say I missed you guys. Absolutely. Second. So Chrissy and I have been in each other's presence.

This entire time. What up, sis? What up, sis? What up, sis?

This entire time was the show was on break. In the month of December, the only days we didn't see each other were the first. And I'm not even sure about the first. I just said the first because I wasn't sure.

So I'm gonna go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and go. All right. The third, the fourth, the fifth, the 20th and the 28th. You over real?

Those are the only days we had not. Why did y'all know he didn't own my nerves? Same job. And we've had a lot of time to reflect and talk.

And we came to the mutual decision that our dating arrangement wasn't what we wanted from each other moving forward. So I would like to ask you guys to be understanding in this period of transition. Yo, you're so ass. What?

What I said was true. What? It was true. He is very serious guys.

He said it was ass. The dating arrangement was not working. Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't going to work out moving forward.

So we ended it. So yeah. What about seriousness? Because we basically spent the entire time together, we are going to the way this is going to go different than normal times when she's over here.

We're going to kind of like weave in and out. Bob and weave. Yeah. So first, Chrissy, do you have anything that has nothing to do with me?

Not really. Nothing to quickly talk about. Very short things. Like number one, nobody has to do with you.

Oh, but the people that are watching. My focus is going to go in and out. I didn't feel like fixing it. Why are you lazy?

No, listen. It's been a lot. By the end of this episode, we all understand why. I have time.

I have time. Something short. Me and Dion, surprise my mom with a lunch. And I realized that she is the reason I'm the way I am.

Ah, shit. Yeah. Like I hate surprises. I'm not good at surprises.

I'm going to ask you constantly what the surprise is. I'm going to try to figure it out. All types of stuff. And my mother ain't no different than me.

So trying to surprise her was annoying. And on the way to the surprise, she kept trying to guess where we were going. So eventually, we got close enough to where Dion lives. And I was like, do you know now?

And she said, I think so. So she got to meet my god daughter and my two nieces, which was really nice. But my god kids ain't shit. They waited until they met my mother in person to start telling her stuff about me.

Yeah. Like, she's handling on me. I'm 35 years old. That's not like that.

It's like, man, did you know that I'm Chrissy listens to Megan the Stallion? What? First of all, my mother doesn't know who Megan the Stallion is. Right.

Right. I thought she was like, oh, she is. Like, wait a minute. Why do you know that?

So that bothered me to because maybe I got a lot of stuff from her. I don't know. That's true. Yeah, that's true.

So besides that, like there's literally nothing else on this work, but I still don't know. I'm not going to talk about that. Yeah. Talk about that.

Just know that the end is near. He's the fan. I'm going to let James talk about everything because I could probably jump in while he's going. Oh, you better.

Because we were together the whole month. Yo, it was a little like, um, so, uh, I think I mentioned, uh, nice time we were right here. Got my god son's birthday was that day. Um, last day we were alive and the similar will likely always be super busy.

Yeah, that's a friend with this whole Chrissy thing because between the two of us, just, just this one thing alone and then things on top of it, but the 22 of us there are birthdays on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 18th, 21st, 21st, 26th, 28th, 8th. I think I still might have missed one or two. Um, yeah, that's a 21st place because me and Aaron had the same birthday. Uh, then of course there's Christmas and then there's New Year's Eve and blah, blah, blah, blah.

But that's going to make my, my god, since birthdays a second. I told y'all all he wanted was a controller, like a $25 controller. So I got him the little docking station also and like the money. Cause like, sir, I did.

He's a kid. He wanted, he wanted, he wanted, he wanted. Oh, he wanted, he wanted. Um, so I asked his mother that Thursday, before his birthday, if he would be in the house.

She said that he wouldn't be in the house all day, but everybody else was going to be going somewhere until like 3. So my initial thought was to fuss in her. But for a couple of reasons I decided against it, number one, the place everywhere else was going, it wasn't like they were going to have fun or no shit like that. They were working.

And the second reason was that even though she listens to me in person. So I zilled and showed over her protection. So, um, so my plan was to go over there after everybody got back and mess up time with him. And take him as gifts.

But we still had the show to do. And that was perfect because we're in before three. So that was perfect. Um, I was going to go over there.

It was no way I was going to go over there. Hey, my. Good morning. There was no way I was going to go over there without my god daughter being there because I don't want to hear her.

It's just that stuff. And I was like, Oh, no, then I was over there and she asked what I was like, I don't wear your mouth. So I was going to go around four close to four and text me asking me what time I was picking my gussle up because he had him. Right.

So I told him he didn't ask that going anywhere. Obviously I'm going to come see him bring him to grips with his tongue. The answer is kind of his place to say. So that's what I did.

I get over there. First of all, where Aaron lives, the addresses are like on the glass pane that's above the door. And there's also a long walkway to a big porch that has a roof on top of it. So it's not as dark at this point.

Right. So I had the easiest to see the addresses and this is my first time at this particular place. So it was foggy. So I found it was a cold outside.

No, it was really. So I ended up like walking almost ran the whole block and I texted like, Oh, hey, come on. Oh, no. Nah.

Yeah. I texted him like, Hey, come on. So when in the game, I got signed the bag with his gifts and it nigga. When I say I have never seen a child react in such a way to a $25 controller.

Hey, look at that. He knew he was getting the heart. That's what that's once. And it just refers what I thought regardless of the cost that controller was the most important thing in the world to hear me.

You better. You better love that while you can. But it's all about it. So the reason Aaron had him was that it was his birthday.

I know that sounds fairly obvious, but Aaron is the second oldest of seven. My god son is the baby of that bunch. It wasn't immediately apparently why it made more sense for him to be an Aaron's house. But then he said he was like, Yo, there ain't nothing but teenagers at his house.

And I'm like, Oh, right. He's not a teenager. Right. Like Aaron's kids are younger than him, but their mindsets and interests and all that are much closer to my god sons than his older siblings.

So that made all the sense in the world. Shout out to my god's father. I mean, because it's husband, I feel like our community doesn't give stepfathers enough credit. Only my god son is his biologically.

And we did not make it easy on his head. I used to always be on his top because he is only two years older than me. And he was kind of also he was kind of coming into fill a role in their lives. Then I had kind of played a part in Philly in their lives.

So I gave him a high time. I mean, I was telling him like I was in front of kids in front of his years. Oh, no, it was, but eventually what happened, I realized that the kids started reacting to him in a way. And I was like, yo, I can't continue to do what I'm gonna.

I'm like, yo, I can't continue to do this in front of these kids. Right. Cause that's not how that works. You're not eroding the respect for him.

Right. Right. So, when I was never a beef thing, I was just trolling. But I realized that kids didn't really tell the difference.

Exactly. So looking back, I was looking back, I can, as a grown head now, cause I was in my early twenties. Right. Actually around there, um, looking back now, I could clearly, clearly I was slightly insecure about the transition.

Somebody else had in that role. Yeah. But once I realized what the effect was happening, I was like, let me show. Let me show.

Add on the fact that at once to that, the fact that I had always been around and I saw what happened when the man came around them. The effect that they had on them, the kids from arrival to departure. I saw the effect that they had on the kids. So a part of that was me being defensive.

Yeah. That makes sense though. Yeah. So back to his birthday, they basically had no concrete plan for his birthday.

To be fair, they had no concrete plan for my daughters birthday. But she's in high school and brother, directly, brother has only a year older. So he was in the position to make plans and whatever. Um, so from a guy's side, they didn't know when they were going to do the cake.

They didn't know what was going to be his birthday. Then about a time I was at, I was at Aaron's house and Aaron called his mother. Nobody in the house had even told him happy birthday. Okay.

Aaron's looking at this from a skew perspective as her other December baby. So he is going hard for his little brother. But I have a slightly different perspective and I can get through it. Aaron, because not only am I also a December baby, not only did I help raise him, but most specifically, I was there for all the stuff that he's complaining about.

Right. So he's seen me over the years talk him and his siblings out of beatings and other punishments. He's seen me talking into good and fun stuff and all that other stuff. So I need to talk them into punishment.

Actually, here's the thing. Probably not. I say probably not because anything that I may have said that may have normally gotten in trouble. I said in person and again, in person, she was in studio.

Right. So yeah, probably. But I feel like exactly what's up to help him realize. So he was saying how it was crazy that she wants him to bring his kids over to her house every weekend, but won't let him leave them there.

That's a simple explanation. She wants to see her grandchildren. But at the same time, she's raised seven kids. Yeah, buddy.

And doesn't want to have to watch five all the time. Right. She's been raising kids for 30 years. She's not 50 yet.

Yeah, that bro. Listen. And when I said that to him, he was like, that makes sense. I'm like, yeah, you got to think of it.

I understand your personal experience in this. I get that. But a part of it was good. Right.

Yeah. Part of that is everything that's happening. Like she's been raising kids. Yeah, she's a good kid that's who makes a difference in the fact that in a couple of days, her oldest would be 31.

So yeah, yeah, she's tired. And she still has a child and she still has a child. Yeah. Not even seeing a child, right?

And. And so there's been an other teachable moment. Because like sometimes there are no right answers. Life isn't just black and white.

Are there other things that she could or should have done in certain situations? Sure. But I've seen a lot of this story play out personally, and I can see there are reasons for a lot of those things. Sometimes that's just all I like those.

So, all that is I enjoyed his birthday, so that's all that really matters I did today. So, next thing, so we told y'all, we had told y'all, before we left, how busy the upcoming weeks would be when we had left. That week following said to be the busiest in aggregate. But as some of you have seen, we still found a way to put out new content.

I'm sure we still made a slide that one new episode in. Play that one new episode in, oh yeah. I explained how it came to be in that episode, but I didn't realize until I had to be recorded. There's another reason it was good that we did it, because I had lost track of time.

That's funny. That's funny. The way my brain works sometimes is that if I only have one thing to do, I tend to more easily find ways or reasons not to do it. Yo!

It's what I have multiple things to do that I'm the most productive, because whenever that's the case, and I'm just sitting around, it makes me think like, oh, should I should be doing something on time? Yep. So, before we recorded that episode, this is what I had on my plate at that time. I had to put the camera to the clip show so that people were gonna have something to engage with, should they choose during the hiatus, I had to get ready for the cruise, which included panning and printing, and whatever work I was taking with me, and figuring out and downloading whatever entertainment I was taking with me, and I had some light shot things, my album was coming out, and I still had two songs to finish on that, and artwork.

There were things I wanted to do that I can't talk about yet. So, obviously that's a lot, but I thought I had way more time to actually head. No. The cruise was the fifth.

All right. I thought that I would have a while to work on what was the next deadline, which was my album. That dropped on my birthday, the 21st, but the cruise didn't end in 2018. So, being able to speak that when you created something so it helped so much, because now I only had to do one clip show, and it gave me time to focus on the other things I had to do.

Also, sign up for the future, unless the train got changed or something, it was cool, being able to have that episode, that many of the crafts episodes, they'll be a live stream. But I don't expect that we're gonna be doing many prerecorded labs because the way that, first of all, you can only do an hour, prerecorded live, and that was cool because we were only doing an hour, but normally, so it wouldn't work for that. That's the reason that the other episodes were not live because in order to do, yeah, they were longer. So, and it's not super apparent what all of the requirements are.

It was just a mess. But, check out as a growing platform, they made it up, you know, get it up again. That's a good point. All right, so, now we get into the garlic.

Let me see. Okay, this has nothing, there's a reason to dissident it. It wasn't an event or anything. So, this is, iPhone versus Android thing.

Oh, that has been going on forever. I say that back up. I say out of it. There's no real, if people ask me a question, I will answer it, but in general, I'm out of this shit.

It's one of those stupid debates that people blatantly ignore facts. Facts. What it objectively boils down to is if you want your phone to be super user friendly and you want things to just work, it's probably better to go with an iPhone. If you like innovation and customization, it's probably better to go Android.

It's just that simple. People on either side will disagree whatever. I don't care. It's the effects of the technologies that exist in those ecosystems.

So, notice that iOS, not iPhone, because that's the actual comparison. Comparing an Android phone to an iPhone is akin to comparing a black singer to Justin Timberlake. But that's one objective benefit of iOS. If you're talking about an iPhone outside of the year and model differences, you're talking about one phone.

The other reason that Justin Timberlake and energy is F is because iOS introduces a lot of features well after Android has them, but tends to present them as new. And Apple fans didn't lose their fucking minds for some reason. That literally just saw a post. One thing, same says, same.

Thanks, that's exactly how I feel. And I am the opposite. I was literally on Twitter yesterday and saw somebody post. When will we finally be able to schedule text messages on iPhone soon?

And I'm like, bro. I'm not gonna have to say that. So, the way I call out, because of my situation, the way I call out of work is I text my supervisors, not my supervisors. If there's a situation where I already know the night before, right?

Oh, schedule. So I don't even got where you go. Oh, yeah, I'm worried about. But anyway, one of the biggest complaints I've seen is in the war is Apple people complaining about the green bubble.

So this is funny enough, an example of the last point. For years, Apple was just refused to update iOS with the New York standard telecommunication protocol, which they will finally do this year. But because of that, a bunch of this came up. Well, no, not this time.

Not this time. They've talked about this whole thing. They will say the dirty thing. But because of that, there are a bunch of iPhone users who don't know or care about technology that just complain and brag.

The two biggest ones I've seen are the bubble color and how sending photos and video works. Like the best majority of what Apple does, it's a business tactic. It's the difference between SMS, MMS, iMessage and RCS. I'm not gonna get into the technical self.

SMS, MMS and RCS are kind of like Pokemon. I think Squareville or Third One Blastoise, they were each the standard of communication when they were at their best. Short messaging services, SMS, which has been around since the 80s, could really only send text up to a certain length. Eventually people had to send a lot of text or photos or videos, then came MMS, which is multimedia messaging services.

This was in early 2000s. That was a big leap, but it's been handed a bunch of issues. Then came RMS, which is rich messaging services. That started in the late 2000s, but went universal around 2016 or so.

That is the standard. Today, in the world, iMessage was built by Apple from the ground up around like 2011. That's not everything, but that's enough for context for your understanding, the point of making. Where the issue comes in is that only Apple devices use iMessage, and Apple doesn't have the update message and protocols on their phones.

So whenever a non-Apple device sends a message, it comes through SMS and MMS, which are two decade old technologies. Well, MMS has size restrictions. So if I record a 4K video on my Canon EOS R6, edit it on my workstation, which boasts a title line as the 2022 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPU, transfer it with USB 3, to my two year old flagship, Plan Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and then send it to somebody with iPhone 15, it's gonna look like shit. Yep.

Because they don't have the capacity to receive that through messaging services, because they have not updated to the fucking standard, that has been the standard for almost nine years. Right. Meanwhile, somebody with an iPhone 10 could record a video from their phone and send it to that same person with an iPhone 15, and it looks great. It's a business thing.

They refuse to use RCS because they claim it's a security issue. But even as recently as 2022, their CEO said Apple hadn't heard from many users quote, asking us to put a lot of energy into bringing RCS support to the iPhone. When asked about the terrible SMS and MMS experience, he responded quote, by your mind an iPhone. So again, it's not about security, it's about business.

And I mentioned earlier. I can't buy my momma's iPhone at this point. As I mentioned earlier, Apple is now going to be adopting RCS sometimes year. But as of the initial announcement, it will still have non-ISUS messages be green.

Then I think they changed that to say that SMS and MMS will still be green, and RCS will be purple or some shit. Well, it's not easy being green. But, yo, it's manufactured tribalism. Yes, it is.

Understand that marketing and perception aren't reality. People will have you think that the iPhone is the most popular phone in the world. Apple's market share is 22%. Right.

Right. So Apple's still keeping segregated colors, despite their being surveys that suggest that very thing leads to bullying in children and teenagers. They don't care about the profit. Yeah, it's a business thing.

The reason that this is part of my recap is I conducted a little experiment because I'm not just doing anything special, it's not anything groundbreaking. It's not even that difficult to put off. It's kind of a version of instant messenger or kick or what's at. It's like that same thing.

So somebody made a version of IMS is for Android. So I used it to see how long it would take anybody to notice because, you know, there are several, like most of the people I talk to use iPhones and select few of them are those people who complain about green bubbles and photos and videos or an entire week. Obviously, I have a message saying and none of those people that can play set a single thing. No fucking care.

Don't really care. And that's the, like, don't really care. It's not really like, boy, don't care. That's a hand in the middle.

And for any iPhone, Travis out there, you know, you know, what's wrong? The most annoying thing is not the green message for me anymore. What is it? It's when you like something in our group chat, instead of it just putting the heart or the emphasis on it.

It sends a message. It sends a message. Because it's against, against such like this. RCS, RCS, my sister's here.

I see that with my sister's. Yeah. Yeah. RCS has more.

It's just more clutter. Yeah. Yes. RCS blame Apple.

RCS has, RCS has, RCS has had all of those features that I messes had six that came out, but Apple refuses, well, refused. I'm assuming, I don't know why they changed their mind. Another question, why they changed their mind. Right.

And I was an Android person. The reason I switched is because I was fucking my Android phones up. Like I had viruses. I had my phone was slow down after a year.

It wouldn't work right. And since I switched to Apple, I don't have those problems because it doesn't let you do. I need restrictions. I need restrictions.

And I don't let about myself. I need to know. And iPhone is an adult. And it's absolutely and it's simple.

So yeah. That's hilarious, bro. All right. Hey, I'm honest.

Listen, I guess, and the only time I was judgmental was of Apple. When I'm talking, when I said, when I said, when I said to the beginning, if you just want your shit to work, yeah, absolutely. Like I get it. I happen to be a, no, I'm a tinkerer.

So that ain't for me. Not a tinkerer. I try to be messed up everything. Right, right, right.

Also with me and that, see, I paid, I think I had my first one, wasn't it. I got to wake up. But I, I had several, Andrew Jones for longer, like where there's been updated, updated, like, two different times. Yeah.

My shit didn't slow down. It didn't get fucked up. Right. It was maybe marginal things that showed with age, but it wasn't nothing super big because I wasn't doing, man, I wasn't doing crazy with that.

Look, I'm taking pictures. And I'm probably doing it now. Yeah, because you're an adult. Yeah.

Sorry, but like the S2. Right. Right. Right.

All right. Moving on to this actual gauntlet now. I got a plus first. I'm a lot of the end of the fuss and later.

Some of it really serious. We don't get to that though. Because my darling Chrissy, it's such a ridiculous scene to be. I had to ignore a very traumatic ordeal.

Really? So how traumatic was it? Well, listen, I ain't always trying to impress somebody. I am who I am.

I look like what I look like. I prefer comfort. I take comfort over all that. I take comfort over all that.

In the instant. It's her birthday cruise. So she was on my answer about me getting tired of that. In general, most people hear that and think, whatever.

It's like, nah, you got to hear the story. So giving all of this fucking hair wet takes a long fucking time. And a lot of effort to drive. If I didn't have to to strant twist not hair to make it last longer, I would be more willing to risk the driving thing because it wouldn't take as long to drive it.

So because generally when I'm on vacation, I'm going to fucking one climb anyway. The air will do something. It will help. Yes.

I would still have to use a dryer a little bit, but not for a year and a long. I like having the fucking twist in. I might know, I should have been driving the next ten minutes. So I do have to do the twist, which makes your driving more difficult.

This will generally make the people I go andEnterswip think that I'm laughing to swim. So I find it like two trips a day. I figured out a system. I get I hear that slightly earlier than I would.

And almost halfway through the trip, I take twist out and I go ahead and get some of my fucked work. So if everything goes in the server, though, I didn't give a chance to do my hair as early as I wanted to do it. During the football season, I generally I'd do it when I watch a game, as that's a time where I know I'm gonna be sitting fucking still in one place long enough to get it done. Right.

Well, the Sunday before the cruise, the Ravens didn't play and the Sunday before that, they played at night. And I generally don't do it at night. So I wasn't gonna do it. I had already spent so much got there money.

This is the dirtest time period. I didn't really wanna pay. The girl who generally does it when I pay for it. But Chrissy persisted and insisted.

He would not let it go. He brought it up every day. The hours passed and she didn't say anything. She said it twice.

Absolutely too late for me to spend the time that I would take to do it. I care about the time, I care about money. Literally with all the shit that we talked about earlier that I had to take care of, I didn't really have the time at that point. Yes, I'm gonna write the on.

Yes. I never had a time to do that. That's my last question right now. Yo.

Oh, I'm not saying to me. I get it. I get it. I'm saying, I'm saying, I'm already birds.

Yeah. So I'm like, if I got somebody else to do it, the girl who normally does it when I pay for it, if I get somebody else to do it won't take as long as it would for me to do it. And I say we productive in some way while it's happening and hands free. So how do I say I want to jump in?

Yeah. Yeah. Let me go. Go ahead.

You put that down as a note. So you don't forget. Right. I mean, actually I'm almost at the end of this particular part.

Thanks. I got her. I got her to do it. I had to sit there and listen to this woman.

Talk about how and why her husband she had grown her with his sister's best friend, who she also knew. And she had got her a job and invited her to the wedding. Even though this girl was husband's woman, if he ought to say, yes, you heard that right. You heard that right.

I saw the face you made too. Right. On top of that, she was taking all that shit out on my head. She ran.

She was like, you know what I lost a lot. She's I had a man in hunting for two days. Oh my goodness. Not to mention I had to spend that money.

You can crap it from what it's been. Now you got to pay money. And she charged me more. Negative.

She charged me more than she charged me the last time. Oh damn. It was an incredibly terrible experience. It was an incredibly terrible experience for what would have essentially been five minutes, except we took my twist out before we even took the picture.

So it was almost as if I didn't get my order done the first day. All right. Go ahead, Chris. No.

I would just like to say, I guess I'm a right offer to make things better. I didn't tell him I was going to pay for it. But I asked him how much it was multiple times. He said, I don't know.

Because I didn't. So I just want to let her know. She made it to charge me more. I was just looking for it because I understood it.

And I also said, just do it yourself. He's like, no. I said, I can help you do it. No.

So I tried to offer other things. The twist would have stayed in. But his head was hurting. So he asked me to take them out.

Isn't this all? I was just consistent and congruous with what I said. OK, let me show her. No, I just want to make sure I want to make sure I want to make it clear that you are not contradicting what I said.

No, no, no. We're very rarely contradicting the extra things. The reason that I asked him to get his hair done is because I want a formal picture with him for a matter of day. I already know he does not like pictures.

And I was like, all right, this is my one time to get some nice formal pictures and get big pictures to put up. You know what's crazy about what you just said there? Him not liking pictures is the equivalent. But it's still a reality of damnit.

Every barber I used to go to back when I was a kid all needed a haircut. That's funny. That's a meringue. No.

That's not funny. You don't want to be in a picture. And our pictures turned out really nice. And we were matching.

Yeah, that's a movie. No, I just wanted to add that in. It wasn't for no reason. It was you being a brat.

I said I wasn't Justin. OK. All right. Next part, because of how much we're going over in minutes, I can't break this damn exactly how I would normally do it.

But let me just say and do not interrupt me, because I've got a feeling that you got to jump out of my throat. I know what you got in there. You broke. You got to go.

You know what I was going to do. So all right. Let me let me land because I know Sandy going to be all that is. Let me land.

Let me land before y'all respond. Let me land before y'all respond. Let me land. So because I don't unless we go over, I can't go in the way I would normally go in.

Cruises are always the money. Now, if you are a cruiser, if you are a cruiser and you like that life, whatever you mean, tell me to cruise. Oh, I'm going to get to it. If you are a cruiser and you enjoy that life, more power to you.

I'm not saying it cruises a bit. But as for me and my vacations, cruises can't hold a candle to all inclusive resource. To be clear, this is not me making an objective claim. No, this is not me making an objective claim.

And also, the reasons I feel this way are not based off of individual cruise lines, nor every experience, nor is it based on the experience I had on the cruise. This also is not an indication of how much I enjoy this cruise. It's really like, I enjoy the cruise. But before I get into the specifics of the trip, let's go to the reasons why.

All, almost, cruise ships are not worth it compared to all inclusive resource. So I know it's a touchy subject and I'm not really sure why. I've had a conversation with like seven different people. And I'm going to text.

I know why. Just from what I've seen, I'm not a cruise person either. But just what I have seen cruise folks are passionate about that experience. But I'm the like Disney people in that park passionate about that ship.

People that love the Disney adults passionate about it. And I've seen it because I've watched several YouTubers that do the whole vacation thing. But they kind of focus on the cruise thing. Right now, it's a whole niche.

Oh, I love it. That's it. That's it. That's it.

And so yeah, they will come at you. And you only think it's on shit together. So it's OK. It's not that I can't defend myself right now.

It's nothing to defend. Like I work on a cruise ship. Everything I'm about to say is objective. This is, I'm not talking about opinions.

Everything I'm about to say is objective. Hey, these are just, but also these are just my reasons. I'm not trying to convince anybody not to cruise. I'm simply giving out information.

No, I'm glad you're doing that caveat because I have a similar caveat. No, I have no, I have no desire to stop people from going on cruise. I'm if you like cruising, cruise have a blast. In no particular order.

The entire trip to subject to change at any time. Because for 80% of your trip, you're being transported. Yeah. In this instance, why I say subject to change, I'm talking about your itinerary or when and whether you make it to your destinations.

Number two, the entire trip to subject to change at any time because for 90% of your trip, you're in open water. Now, this time when I say your entire trip changes, I'm not talking about itinerary. I'm talking about quality of vacation because you can't control the weather, rain, and or wind. Yes, there are places that can be a shield for you from the rain on the cruise.

But they don't say if you're from the ship rock. You could also go to your room, you could always go to your room, which should kind of stop the rocking issue and you won't be messing with the rain. But most of the problems that come with the extra wind, as far as the big rocking, still apply when you're in your room. The problem with that though is the runs are tiny.

The bathrooms and showers are even worse. Number four, the original reason I had never been on cruise, they're floating Petri dishes. Getting seasick aside. Getting seasick aside because I could have made that its own listening, but there's no reason to just pack them together.

Getting seasick and your pet like sardines in the metal tube for the vast majority of your trip. So, actually, but before you continue, just to illustrate that point more, you want to hold COVID shit, nobody else has caught it until my mother-in-law went on cruise. Yeah, because that's how that works. Not, let me change it, that's how it evens in the can.

More like... That's about to say, that's not objective. Yeah! More like a bag of chips, more like a bag of chips from like 10 years ago, right?

There's some air inside, but there's no real way that you could exist without touching other people. Number five, number five, the drink packages. Keep in mind that I'm talking about actual all-inclusive resorts. That means you pay a set price, it includes your rum, food, water, juice, soda, coffee, tea, alcohol, and more.

On cruises, that price you pay is generally for the bulk transport, port fees, your rum, food, water, coffee, and hot tea. Some include juice, some don't. Lemonade. Again, but it's not, it's not beautiful.

Some include juice, some don't. I haven't heard any include soda, but I'm pretty sure some do, some don't. Outside of special circumstances like a river cruise or something like that, most do not include alcohol. I think there are like two or three non-luxury lines in the world that do include alcohol, so that's getting better.

There are some super luxury lines that include alcohol, which are pretty good. And then they just started doing it. But they are way more expensive. I'm talking about, like for instance, Regent is a line that includes re-alcohol in the price, but the price for 10-night cruises is $7,788 per person.

Wow. So for the majority of the cruise lines, for us normal people, you have to option to buy a drink package. Well, certain places you cruise out from in the US forbid by law, drink packages. So your drink package doesn't start until you leave their orders.

On top of that, the packages have limited. Anything from you can only order one drink at a time, to there being a specific amount of time that you have to wait between drinks to a specific limit on how many drinks you could order today. Why there was a problem? For what?

Don't fucking tell me what to do. B. B. B.

One drink at a time is annoying because on pretty much every one of my group trips at an all-cruiser resort, there has been a moment where you sit next to somebody at the table enjoying some entertainment or some shit, and somebody gets up and like, oh, let's get drinks for everybody. You can't do that on most of these cruise trips because you have to have some way to count the amount of drinks that you had as usually in a form of a card or some type of thing. You can't just have everybody's drinks. And trace.

Well, the alcohol is out there. Those problem only, if that's them. You should be able to drink the arts, if you pay for a drink package. Like, we were talking about this on ourselves, and when I was talking about the drink package, and the limitation, she kept saying y'all got to go on Norwegian.

Now look at their drink packages. They ain't much different than what I was saying. Oh, yeah. So like, I don't understand.

So, number six, the fact that where you want to go and for how long has so many hoops to jump through? Again, this list is subjective to me, but the reasons are objective. I have no desire to go back to any majority white countries. Except Canada.
