To support his research and his argument, Finch is applying Pierre Bourdieu's cultural capital theory.Finch also gives us a large history between Bennett and Virginia Woolf, another famous writer who wrote different novels, among those is Mr Bennett and Mrs Brown, and the reason of her vividly criticising towards Bennett's personality and works, alongside with other dominant critical voices which joined to her. This and other valuable information Finch speaks about can be heard throughout the interview.
