Late Night Pep Talk: Opinions

from Moms Working Overtime · host Alanna Hellman

In today's world, our experiences as moms can be put on blast for everyone to see in a split second. This opens us up for judgment.. opinions.. criticism.. unsolicited advice.. and worst of all, to be the topic of gossip.  It brings back those middle school girl clique vibes where friendships are created because two people "hate" the same person. They say misery loves company, right? Well, we fall victim to this as adults, too.And we are not entitled to lift yourself up at the loss of another mom. We are not entitled to feel better about ourselves and our own decisions if it means downgrading a fellow sister. This podcast dives into two main messages regarding how we act toward each other as moms and how we respond to the behavior of other moms. This journey is hard enough, can't we all agree on that? Let's bond on this instead, pulling each other through, and reminding each other that we're doing an amazing job, rather than bonding over who we agree is doing the worst job this week. And lastly, someone else's opinion of you is none of your business, mama. I need you to both HEAR that and LIVE that. Your only job is to, each morning when the sun rises, decide... yet again... that you're going to do your best. And you know what? That's ENOUGH. It's more than enough. And it's still enough no matter what anyone else has to say about it. Support the showLet's connect on social media!
