Late Night Talk Shows
from This Is Rad!
In the year 2000! ...Or, uh, this week in 2016, Kyle and Matthew sit down with comedians Stuart Thompson and Luke Schwartz to have a commercial-free chat about late night talk shows. Stuart and his sidekick Luke run a late night talk show at the Hollywood Improv and discuss their approach to keeping the medium alive, from the fine art of monologue jokes to the energy of late night bands. The gang also chats about the late night greats such as Groucho and Carson and debate the merits of Jimmy Fallon. They also discuss how the Internet age has changed the late night talk show landscape. Plus, Kyle shares his nerdy appreciation for Charlie Rose, and the gang has a heated discussion about the zaniness of Craig Ferguson. A great episode with great guests…for me to poop on!
