Starting point: something I do too often. I tend to begin with a bass improvisation — familiar voicings, something that immediately feels “me” — and then reshape it until the source disappears, even if the identity remains. This piece comes from a one-hour session: bass, a sustain-like effect, tremolo (Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter), and long reverbs/delays. No overdubs, just letting the signal decay into itself.
