Laura Heywood interviews Katzie Guy-Hamilton

from Laura Heywood Interviews · host Laura Heywood

Katzie Guy-Hamilton is a fantastic chef and a phenomenal human being. From the first time we met, she delighted me with her spirit — we were introduced at a dinner party, and became instant friends! Before that, I had watched her on "Top Chef: Just Desserts" and thought, "I bet I'd be friends with her in real life." And sure enough — here we are! One of my favorite things about Katzie is her determination to grow, learn and evolve. Like me, she has fought against the idea of being thoroughly defined by her "brand" — and she has proven that being a well-rounded, hard-working, ever-evolving human is the key to happiness.  Her book "Clean Enough: Get Back to Basics and Leave Room for Dessert" is all about confidence in the kitchen — in both cooking and eating — and the joy that comes from creating and devouring culinary delights that score high on both the health and happiness scales. She has done the impossible, by proving that it's possible to be a dessert connoisseur AND a fitness professional — she is currently the director of food & beverage for equinox!  Katzie is a chef and I am a broadcaster, but we have the same mission in life: spreading happiness.
