Laura Mariko Cheifetz

Laura Mariko Cheifetz (she/her) is a queer biracial Presbyterian Church (USA) minister curious about race, gender, identity, public theology, the meaning of citizenship, and fun television shows. She and her partner grew up in opposite parts of the country, met in the middle, and have lived for the past 13 years in the southeast (currently in Nashville, TN). Laura is multiracial Asian American of Japanese and white Jewish descent. She was the fourth generation of her family to be born in California and grew up in eastern Oregon and western Washington.
