Maka has a chat with Lauren Bright, CEO of NGO, The Kay Mason Foundation regarding entrepreneurship education. This Saturday past, 21 August officially marks World Entrepreneur Day, and according to the most recent Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report (2019/2020), the entrepreneurial activity of ages 18 -44 is lower in SA than in any other African region. This is not surprising since South Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem has been rated one of the most challenging in the world, with almost 50% of South Africans citing fear of failure for not starting a business.
