Law & Disorder | The Branch Davidians: The Beginning and Aftermath, Part 2
from Precinct 444: The National Law Enforcement Museum Podcast
On February 28, 1993, Special Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) attempted to serve a warrant at a compound inhabited by the radical religious group, The Branch Davidians, outside of Waco, Texas. In this special edition of Icons, we will hear from Retired Special Agent Blake Boteler who was an agent on the ATF’s Special Response Team out of the Dallas division that served the warrant on the Branch Davidian compound that day. While Boteler’s experience as an ATF Agent primarily focused in undercover work, today we will focus on his reflections on that fateful day and the change that the tragedy at Waco inspired within the ATF. The third and final installment of this series airs on April 19th.https://nleomf.org/museum/precinct-444/
