Law Enforcement You Can Trust

One of the most anxious areas for Black Men is in dealing with law enforcement.  Historically, African-American men regardless of their social-economic status, and in some cases, their celebrity status, have always experienced harassment, judgment, and even violence in their encounters with law enforcement. So when you can find law enforcement that you can trust, you may want to acknowledge it, keep it, praise it, just as much as if it weren’t. And tonight, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Joining me tonight is Durham County’s first African-American elected Sheriff in Durham’s 140yr history and BPT’s 2019 Trailblazer Awardee Sheriff Clarence Birkhead.  And later in the show, we’ll have Georgia State Senator Vincent Fort.
