According to the letter from Raskin, nearly fifty survivors supplied detailed testimony identifying at least twenty individuals as part of a sophisticated trafficking ring, yet the probe—originally active under the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York—was transferred to DOJ headquarters and effectively halted in January 2025.
