Lawrence Transit Updates & SafeRide Returns | Lawrence News
from Lawrence News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Lawrence Transit is rolling out major changes starting August 1st — new bus routes, smarter transfers, and the return of SafeRide for KU students. SafeRide, funded by student fees, is back after last year’s pause due to budget cuts, with final policies still being finalized. Route 4 gets a Saturday tweak for smoother downtown transfers, Route 9 now links South Iowa to Central Station and stops at new Dillons, and Route 38 also adds that stop. Routes 41 and 42 are splitting to create direct Park & Ride to Jayhawk Blvd connections, with Route 42 taking a shorter path. SafeBus Route 53 is also getting a downtown reroute. Preview the new guide online — printed copies coming soon — and call or visit the website for trip help. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
