Layoffs at Rochester City Schools

A married couple, a teacher with breast cancer and a paraprofessional expecting a baby have all received layoff notices from the Rochester City School District. The district announced plans to cut more than 150 positions just days before the holidays. “It’s really heartbreaking what is happening. Children are crying for their teachers. Teachers are crying because they are being severed from their students. It’s a very, very bad situation.” - Adam Urbanski But - there is hope.
