Carmelo Berrios grew up in the Mott Haven Section of the South Bronx. He lived through its worst days when The Bronx was Burning. Carmelo was a childhood and life-long friend of the host John Duffy. Carmelo was a survivor who went throughhomelessness and drugs and turned his life around. His passion for music led him to playing in many Salsa bands. Carmelo is a husband and continues to play music for his church in Florida.
