Lead - The Unavoidable Toxin. How Do You Protect Yourself?

from Intellectual Medicine · host Dr. Stephen Petteruti

Lead blankets the world. Over the past 5000+ years of human existence it has been pumped into the water, the air and the soil. We breathe it, we drink it, we eat it in our food. Lead is a pure toxin. It corrodes the brain, the heart, the nervous system, and weakens our immunity. It can interfere with our hormones. There is no known safe level of lead. Since it cannot be avoided, it must be removed. In this episode we describe the history of lead exposure and some of its risks. We also discussed chelation therapy and recommend an approach to reducing the risk of lead toxicity over the span of your lifetime.
