Leaders are Made at Toastmasters

One question that always comes up for debate is, 'Are Leaders born or made?' Typically, the response is leaders are born. However as Jamillah David, incoming Area Director for Area 37 says, "At Toastmasters, leaders are Made!" She would know given her own experience over 9 years being in toastmasters and how she achieved the feat of being President of Winners Toastmasters club and now to take on the leading role of Area Director. all from a starting point of just seeking out a place to hone her skills on debating but more so pushed by her boss, who commented that she was great at the technical side of her job but leadership was an area to work on.. Maybe her story speaks to you. You're invited to listen, share, support and comment. We love to hear from you.
