LEADERS ARE SEEDERS NOT CEDERS OR CEDARS “The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is today. Otherwise there will be no hope for trees tomorrow. Leaders who surrender power, authority, responsibility or control also surrender influence. Leaders who are ceders abdicate their opportunities to establish today what will shape tomorrow and have failed as leaders in my opinion. Leaders who are cedars, seek stardom, notoriety, celebrity and recognition for themselves, they may as well cede their influence. They are influencing in the pursuit of acknowledgement not accomplishment. Leaders who are seeders leave a lasting and worthwhile legacy. Seeders are leaders who plant, nurture, protect and cultivate seeds worthy of reproduction.
