Find out more on our website: https://bit.ly/3teDuIo The world has changed and is changing ever faster. New generations expect the organisations they work for and with, and buy from, to have a purpose and possess a moral compass. And yes, even work for the greater good! Leaders can make new commitments, organisations can adjust their marketing and advertising, but real change and transformation must start within the individual before it can transfer to organisations and society, authentically. As Tolstoy wrote, “Everyone wants to change the world, but no one wants to change himself [herself]”. The traditional leadership we see in typical hierarchical organisations have a short shelf life remaining. Increasing complexity in our societal expectations, fast changing technology and the climate crisis all demand a leadership approach that is more decentralised and distributed, more inclusive yet emergent. More values based! This requires leaders that have reached a higher level of human development. How do we do that? It requires leaders, especially the next generation of top leaders, to become more self aware, more emotionally intelligent, and able to bring their values to full consciousness in all they do. This journey is often counter-intuitive and requires leaders to overcome those strong human defaults that were ingrained in our DNA way back in the stone age. This webinar will provide some insights into how this can be achieved. Speaker: John Knights, Chairman of LeaderShape Global is an engineer turned businessman who followed an international corporate career being appointed first a Corporate VP of a Fortune 100 company and then a main board director of a FTSE100 firm before he was 40. His next career was as an entrepreneur where he founded eight companies, primarily in environmental technology and IT. In 1998, his life changed when he learned to coach and in working with other CEOs started to understand what was missing in both his own and others leadership capabilities. He has spent the last 20 years working with colleagues to develop a journey of development to become a Transpersonal Leader1. This culminated in 2018 with the acclaimed and evidence-based text book “Leading Beyond the Ego” being published by Routledge. A sequel, “Transpersonal Leadership in Action” was launched by the same publisher in February 2022. John has coached many senior leaders globally and been involved in the design and delivery of state-of-the art leadership programmes using advanced andragogic methodologies. This includes the latest Open Global Program which is fully remote and online, mixing leaders from around the world. Note 1: Transpersonal Leaders operate beyond their ego, continuing personal development and learning. They are radical, ethical and authentic while emotionally intelligent and caring. They create performance-enhancing and sustainable cultures. For more information: https://www.leadershapeglobal.com/john-knights-1
