Longenecker says the gist of the study is this simple fact that if you do not trust your leader or boss - it creates a strange and less than productive work environment. There are certain leader behaviors that drive leadership trustworthiness and another set of behaviors that breed a lack of trust and even mistrust which can have devastating organizational and career consequences.
