2020 has been (and is continuing to be) a year that none of us could say we were prepared for as a leader. There is just no other way of saying it. Leadership is always a challenge, but leading in a crisis has revealed so much to us and our people.

There is an evolved skillset that a leader needs to successfully support, grow and develop teams in the midst of crisis. In this podcast episode you will walk away with my 4 best tips for leading your team sin uncertainty, disruption and challenge.

I have been fortunate enough over the last 9 months to have continued to speak, consult and train leaders on how to continue to lead their teams beyond drama during a time that seems completely justified to be DONE with the drama.

I've been wading out into the mess with leaders who are on the frontlines as well as with organizations that are experiencing their best years ever financially even in the paradox of all of the heartbreak of the world pandemic, heightened conversations on race relations, etc.

In these sessions, I have been able to distill down the best tips for managing the energy of your team during the crisis to still find joy and get results even in these unprecedented circumstances.

In this episode you will learn:

1) The mantra of "Tend to the people first, then evolve."

2) The "What are you feeling? Where is your head at?" technique for anxiety, fear and uncertainty

3) The technique of "Come close in" with the conversation

4) Finding the difference between Self-Sooth and Self-Care

I can't wait to hear what you think about this one! Thank you for listening and for all of the courageous work you are doing each day.

Hope you enjoyed this episode as I was able to cover a topic that I don't usually get to go into much detail on during my keynotes and trainings.
