Leaked Memo Expands ICE Authority, Mamdani Announces Two Youth Clinic Openings and a Snippet of WFUV’s Interview with Hannah Jadagu

The Trump administration has ramped up immigration enforcement in his second term. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, activity has sparked a lot of questions about legality and individual rights. WFUV’s Alexandra Pfau spoke with an immigration lawyer to clarify what rights people have when interacting with ICE agents. ICE agents are being told they can forcibly enter people’s homes without a judicial warrant. WFUVs Lainey Nguyen told us about the DHS memo that gives them this authority. New York mayor Zohran Mamdani announced two new clinics are open in Brooklyn and Queens. The clinics at NYC Health and Hospitals in Queens and Woodhull in Brooklyn are geared towards 16-25 year olds.
