The NAIC model club on Long Island taught an investing class based on NAIC principles at Adelphi University.  She attended and proceeded to do nothing.  She needed to find a club to hold her accountable for her investing education. She attended the fall class in 98 and didn’t find a club that needed new members.  She created a flyer and eleven interested individuals gathered to form what became the Alchemy Investment Club in December 1998.  Many came and left when they realized that investing was a slow long-term gain.Being a part of a club of strangers helped her because she knew she didn’t have the luxury to be lazy. So far, things are going well and they are following through with their assignments each month.
