Learn Japanese: Ni Yoru による

Today's sexy Japanese lesson is all about expressing "through" things. ことによる (koto ni yoru) is used when you want to be specific about what events led up to something else. The よる is the same one that makes によって, so you’ll often see/hear ことによって. In English we express this idea by saying things like “through verbing” or “due to the fact that”.
