learn - the starry aquarian

hello everyone, welcome to the second (first on podcast hosts!) episode of musings with mona. today is a ‘learn’ episode, and we are talking about dancing, disco, the erotic, agency, the body and liberation. it’s a longer one because there was just so much to talk about. this episode was supposed to be posted earlier, but i've been learning to take my time instead of rushing into things. i'm still aiming to post twice a month, i'm still figuring out if it'll be every other week or something like uploading at the beginning and at the end of each month. we'll figure it out. no apologies for my militant tone in some areas, i can be quite passionate. i hope you guys enjoy, i personally enjoyed preparing and recording this episode. references Lawrence, Tim (2011) DISCO AND THE QUEERING OF THE DANCE FLOOR Jennex, Craig (2020) Liberation on the dance floor Lorde, Audre (1884) Uses of the erotic: the erotic as power in Sister Outsider my instagram (other socials in link tree). @monaamonet @musingswmona instagrams of ‘disco ’93’ organizers @boogaloojonez @seiiizi @jasnasty @maxmiaja @emiliano.chamandy @tam_tam_dafrik_chady Hosted on Acast.
