SCRIPTURE TEXT: 2 Timothy 2:1-26 In Part Two of our series on II Timothy, we see that in order to Persevere Like Paul, we need to know, apply, & proclaim the word of God in our lives. In the second chapter of Paul's letter to his pastoral protégé Timothy, the apostle utilizes the metaphors of a soldier, an athlete, a worker, and even household articles, along with an Early Christian hymn, to illustrate the importance & utility of God's word in enabling us to persevere, fully prepared to do every good work for God (2 Timothy 2:21).
