For many of us, summer is a time to take a vacation or at least take things a bit slower. Which is good for us. Even Jesus tried to get away for a while. But many more people--especially people working multiple, maybe part-time jobs just to make ends meet--don't have that luxury. But rest isn't a luxury, it's a requirement, and in our Judeo-Christian tradition, sabbath rest is a commandment. So how do we rest, but not quit working for sabbath justice for those who need it most?
